The Walking Dead!

Okay, as everyone knows I spend a lot of time on twitter and surfing the net when I am not doing homework, researching, writing, or taking care of my family...wait Damn I do a lot of shit, lol. Anyway, On twitter I've been following the account of an actor by the name of Norman Reedus and he had been mentioning something about The Walking Dead, since then I looked it up and realized it is a series that will be coming this Oct. to AMC. Norman has just been confirmed as staring in the series along with another most awesome addition Michael Rooker who I remember from The Bone Collector amoung various other roles. The two play as brothers in the series and I am even hearing that the six episode show has gotten picked up for a second series.

I am very excited about this series not just because it has some really great actors or the fact that some of the most awesome television writers are attatched to the series. I am completely excited about this series because I love, that's right you heard me, LOVE anything that has to do with zombies. I mean really you can't be a true horror lover if you don't love Zombies, hello George Romero, Dawn of the Dead. Lets not forget all the awesome Resident Evil movies in which one is set for release this year Resident Evil there to see that one. Oh ya!!

*Sigh* I know there are many people out there who have had dreams of being in front of the camera but never me. Nope I've never wished for the spotlight persay ohh man but to be part of the creative mind behind movies like this or even this kind of series, now that would be Wicked! Anyone who does their entertainment research to keep up on popular trends will tell you Comics and Graphic Novels are HOTT right now. Yup, you heard me HOTT. Not only are movies and television entering into converting comics into series or movies but books are also being made into comics. That's right. Laurell K. Hamilton and her Antia Blake series and the recent addition of Sherrilyn Kenyon and her Dark Hunter series. Always a Comic book fan who knew that a guilty pleasure when were children would turn into such a booming industry with whole new following. The next time you're at the nearest bookstore take a look and see what latest Graphic Novel is out because you just might be seeing that in a few years at your nearest theater.

Excerpt for Blood Tears

It won’t hurt forever, but it sure fucking felt like it would. She brushed her tears away as she came to a sitting position, drawing her knees up to her chest. Still feeling as though the tears were going to fall at any moment, she closed her eyes took a deep breath to dispel the remaining emotions from the horrible memory she relived almost every night. Erik.
Pulling the covers from her body, she swung her legs over the side of the bed and ran her fingers through her sweat-dampened hair. The bright red letters from the nightstand flashed 2 a.m. After this she wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep. Wonderful, another day fueled only by four hours of sleep. When you hunted unholy bloodsuckers, that wasn’t a good thing.
Groaning, she came to her feet her toes sinking into the thick motel carpet. Motels, traveling, keeping hidden in the shadows was something that she had grown accustomed to over the last couple of years. Once things had been so different.
She worked at a coffee shop, granted it wasn’t the best job but it made ends meet. Her apartment had been a beautiful one overlooking the breathtaking park in the center of the city. It was a relatively uneventful, mundane existence but it was normal and it was something she would never have again. One night, one encounter down a dark alley changed everything. It had been then, that one moment in which her entire world and everything she had ever believed shifted. She didn’t know then that walking down that alley was going to change her whole life and the course of her future.
Resting both hands on either side of the sink, she kept her head lowered staring down at the drain. Now, her days and nights were spent chasing unholy creatures that managed to cross over into this world and feed in every way it was possible to imagine.
People were one of two ways. Either they believed in good and not evil or they believed in evil and not good. Those were beliefs she didn’t understand. If there was a counter balance for everything in this world, in this life then how could you believe in one and not the other?
She believed in both. You couldn’t be something like her and not believe. Raising her head, she met her blood red eyes in the scratched mirror in front of her. If you were evil then you had to believe there was an opposite of what you were. No matter how hopeless things seemed she still had to believe things could be different. She couldn’t allow herself to lose faith. She had to believe there could be exceptions, even for someone like her.
“What’s the use?” She muttered turning from the mirror, discussed with her own reflection.
“Why do you torture yourself?” A feminine voice floated to her from the corner of the room.
Picking up the pack of cigarettes she tossed one in her mouth and lit it. “Don’t you ever knock?” Smoke billowed in white swirls as she turned to face Ariel.
“What would be the point of that? You wouldn’t answer.” Smashing her own cigarette into the ashtray, she stood. “I heard about Erik.”
Her head fell back against the wall but she didn’t answer.
“You did the right thing.”
“You would think that.”
“Don’t you?”
“If I didn’t think it then I wouldn’t have done it but cut the bullshit about understanding. You don’t understand anything and you don’t really care do you? One less demon right?”

This is a new story but I am taking stuff from previous work that I have had published that better come down soon otherwise legal action is being taken. Hope you all enjoy it. Until tomorrow, love you all!

In Dreams.....

Wow! Okay so the other night I had a really awesome experience. I had this really vivid dream and I woke up at six o'clock in the morning and just had to write all the remnants of it down before it faded. Now, this really isn't usually. I have dreams often and they are all pretty vivid but most of those ones usually deal with ghosts, demons, hunters, zombies, vampires or something equally strange. Hey I never said I was a normal person. This dream was different because it wasn't about any of those things. It was a romance in which I had fallen in love with this man and we were both separated from our spouses but he had cancer and I didn't know it. When he collapses one day and they rush him to the hospital I find out. The cancer is spreading so rapidly there isn't much they can do for him and if a transplant isn't found soo, which there is little hope of, then he will die. His wife, even though they are still separated, is there and she wants me to go but he doesn't. So, I stay because he wants me there. After spending a little time with him in the hospital room I realize I can't watch him die. I know his blood type and mine are the same, I can give him a piece of my lung and that's just what I offer to do. Since he is no longer conscious I inform his wife and she accept it on one condition that I never see him again and I agree. Of course years later his wife tells him what really happens while she is packing her things and leaving. She is sorry for what she did but she saw he looked at her and it broken her heart that he had never looked at her that way but she knew now he never would. He winds up finding her again and all the really good mushy things are shed and they come together. Usually, I never dream about such sappy things but it was a pretty intense dream and I can still see it in my head now, like a movie almost. I will definitely be writing this one down in the form of a story and where it shall it go. Even if it goes no place it was still a cool dream.
